The Wu crew threw a party to celebrate the new Jason Wu studio, and we were there. The fashion flock turned out in droves to toast Jason and all his recent accomplishments.
As VOGUE-ettes Meredith Melling Burke, Alexandra Kotur, and Elissa Santisi admired the contemporary artwork in our front entryway, stylist Keegan Singh and jewelry designer Eddie Borgo held court on the breezy balcony outside of Jason’s office. Downtown darling Becka Diamond and In Treatment’sMelissa George made cameos long before the Veuve ran dry, too.
As revelers sipped champagne and sampled truffles from Maison du Chocolat, Teen VOGUE’s EIC Amy Astley oohed and aahed over Jason’s New York Observer-collaged walls. (What can we say–the editorial set loves journalistic touches!) Even catwalkers Siri Tollerod, Tati Cotliar, and Karlie Kloss dropped by to wish the man-of-the-hour well.
“What I really want to know is–where can I get one of those cameras?” Karlie asked–referring, of course, to Jason’s new line of digital point-and-shoot devices for GE. Turns out the 17-year-old shutterbug, who asked that we e-mail her the camera’s retail info post-party, is as comfortable behind the lens as she is in front of it!
